Bought one last month, but now trying to sell it. App usually crashes, readings are terrible (compared to other sonar my friend has). If you want cheap Chines item it is ok, but if you want better sonar need to pay more than 200 bucks.

Great for row trolling small lakes

We have used ours many times in the last 12 months and would not leave home without it. The unit battery lasts longer than the iPhone's. We find the location and depth of schooling fish and adjust our baits accordingly. Then troll thru the school with our 15' row boat. We carry the boat on our truck and must therefore load and unload everything each time we fish. This unit is ideal for our style of fishing.

Well just returned from the US where I purchased the said unit, and was straight the lake to give it a try. The unit took two minutes to download the app on my phone, pair the device to the sonar unit and away I went, so simple. The unit was extremely accurate with the depth and feature on the lake and clearly showed mid water obstructions (dead tree branch and weed) and the composition of the bottom, which is extremely important when carp fishing. I can't wait to use the device in anger, and see if my catch rate improves. Tight lines, fish on!

This is not the first time I have used a sonar style device. One of the competers has one that is not as detailed but, at least for me, is easier to locate fish. I like this one because of the bottom structure but I could not locate any fish. I plan on giving it another try this time with another unit to compare the readouts and see if its just me.
